Scribis - Free Online Smart Editors

The goal of the Scribis Project is to allow students and writers to work with multiple linguistic tools to enhance creative writing and brainstorming. With Scribis editors you can work with Dictionaries of synonyms, of collocations, rhyming dictionaries, Thesauri like Roget's, Moby Thesaurus and Wordnet, Thesauri generated by neural networks and other linguistic tools generated from Gutenberg, Wikipedia, Iconclass databases

How does it work? It's quick and easy. Type in the editor: based on the last words you write, Scribis will suggest words, synonyms and phrases instantly and pertinently.

Scribis 3.0 is compatible with the main browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera. It's recommended to enable Javascript and to use the latest versions of your browser.

For tablets and other touch devices:
a) automatic suggestion is activated by tapping inside the editor.
b) activate the full screen view by clicking on the button

Try Scribis Matrix

Generate word matrices with dictionaries of synonyms, of collocations, with thesauri like Roget's Thesaurus and Moby Thesaurus or generated by neural networks

Scribis Matrix - Brainstorming and Writing Tool

Scribis Matrix is a new smart editor of Scribis Project. It's quick and easy to use:

1) Type or paste the text you want in the editor (I recommend a sentence or at least 3-10 words)

2) Click on MATRIX button. Most words in the editor become darker and bolder

3) Click now on any of the bold words. You will see that the word you clicked and a number of those that follow it (default is 6, but you can change it), will generate arrays of related words depending on the active thesaurus.

4) From now on, you can continue to generate matrices by clicking on any bold word in the editor.
